Role Overview:
SKMCH&RC, Lahore requires the services of a Consultant Physician, Emergency Assessment Room. This is a post designed to support and enable further enhancement of Emergency Medicine services at SKMCH&RC. The post-holder will participate in the provision of services in the Emergency Assessment Room. She/he will be expected to work closely with the members of the Department of Internal Medicine, as well as with the that of Clinical and Radiation, Medical and Surgical Oncology. The post-holder-s work will be the provision of consultant cover to the Emergency Assessment Room at the Hospital. This will be on a rotational basis, in conjunction with other consultant colleagues in Internal Medicine. It is expected that the post-holder will demonstrate excellence in provision of all aspects of medical care for which he/she is credentialed. The successful applicant will be required to have a thorough grounding, both by training and experience, in all aspects of General Internal Medicine and be able to take independent clinical decisions in a skilled and effective manner.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Full and unencumbered registration with the PMC.
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, such as FCPS Medicine, MRCP (UK), American Board in Internal Medicine, or accepted equivalent as per rules and regulations for medical staff at SKMCH&RC. Additional qualifications in Emergency Medicine will be preferred.
- Experience in multidisciplinary teaching at variety of in- and out-patient treatment facilities and settings.
