  Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience

Job Description:

• To provide a physiotherapy service to in-patient department and out-patient department of pediatrics/adult (orthopedics, spinal injuries, cardiac patients, general surgery, medicine, amputee rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Gynae & Obs, oncology, ICU, CCU).
• To undertake an assessment of patients, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide a physiotherapy diagnosis of their condition.
• To formulate management strategy and recommend best course of intervention, developing discharge plans.
• To evaluate a patients’ progress, reassess and alter treatment programs if required, developing reflective practice.
• To take delegated responsibility from senior colleagues for managing and treating patients with particular conditions within each rotation.
• Be highly skilled in communicating with patients of all ages who have a range of physical and psychological barriers to understanding.
• To work on the emergency duty Rota, undertaking the assessment and treatment of acutely ill patients with respiratory problems and multiple pathologies.
• To maintain associated records as an autonomous practitioner.
• Educating patients, family members, and community on how to prevent injuries and live a healthy lifestyle
• Collaborate with patient doctors for referral, notes and medical history.
• To be responsible for the patient care and care and monitor their activities at the male and female gym in close collaboration with P&0s.
• Identify and conduct training programs for pre-prosthetic and pre-orthotic needs for patient.
• To be responsible for Proper documentation of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, re-assessment and follow up on HMIS.
• He/she will be rotated as per management order to other departments (wards, Rehabilitation Centre, OPD’s, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and FES clinics) at Indus Hospital & Health Network, and can be rotated through all campuses of Indus Hospital & Health Network.
• Must follow the Saturday/Sunday and public holiday duty Rota.
• Must be attend the departmental meetings and academic discussions.
• Maintain patient safety by avoiding burns during delivery of electrotherapy, a manipulative technique applied despite of contra-indication and fall or injuries sustained during attending physiotherapy.
