The purpose of this position is to assist seniors in areas relating to inventory control, stock optimization, ensuring availability of materials and supplies.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
MBA preferably in Supply Chain with at least 1 year of relevant experience
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monitoring of stock movement and conduct of periodic stock audits to ensure accuracy of the inventory records.
- Coordinate with the inventory planning team and other relevant departments in order to forecast inventory requirements. Assist in gathering data and insights for accurate demand forecasting.
- Assist in implementing measures to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs by helping identify slow-moving and obsolete items and assist in implementing appropriate actions.
- Coordinate with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
- Provide support in carrying out periodic assessment of suppliers’ performance facilitating management decisions to continue or discontinue doing business with these suppliers in future.
- Assist in analyzing inventory data and generating reports for management to take any corrective or preventive actions.
- Provide inputs in setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for the inventory planning team and assist in achieving the same.
- Comply with the risk management framework.
- Participate actively in risk management activities across the organization.
- Ensure that key risks are identified, reported, recorded and managed in a timely manner.
- Receive appropriate training in risk management.
- Undertake any other assignment as instructed by the immediate supervisor.
