The Department of Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John campus, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting July 1, 2026, or a mutually acceptable date thereafter. The department offers a 2-year diploma program in Engineering Foundation with specializations in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. The department offers a 4-year degree program in environmental engineering that started in Fall 2023. Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Clear evidence of strong research ability is required, as the successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program and be involved in supervision of graduate (MSc and PhD) students.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching will be an asset due to UNB Saint John's strong commitment to teaching.
- Preference will be given to candidates with background in manufacturing engineering who have obtained a P. Eng. or who are eligible to do so.
- Responsibilities include teaching, research (including graduate student supervision), and assisting in university academic service.
