The position is responsible for supporting & assisting in the efficient operation and administration of field store locations. The role involves assisting in inventory control, materials handling, ERP-based record keeping, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for SSGC’s operational and project needs. The position demands proactive coordination with user departments, accurate data handling, and compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
MBA preferably in Supply Chain with at least 1 year of relevant experience
Job Description / Responsibilities:
Store Operations Support
- Perform/Assist in the daily functioning of the stores under the guidance of the Manager-Stores.
- Ensure that materials are stored properly with correct tagging, racking, and safe stacking.
- Monitor shelf life and assist in timely disposal or return of unutilized or slow-moving stock.
Inventory Control & Record Management
- Enter and update inventory transactions accurately in ERP / CC&B and reconcile system records with
- physical stock.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain documentation including MR, MRV, ISST, RS, and other relevant material records.
Material Issuance & Receipt
- Verify material requisitions for accuracy and approval before issuing.
- Receive materials against ISSTs and assist in physical inspection for quality and quantity compliance.
- Coordinate store returns for damaged or surplus items as per SOPs.
Coordination & Forecasting Support
- Liaise with user departments to understand and track material demands.
- Assist the Manager in preparing material requirement forecasts based on historical data and ongoing
- projects.
Audit & Reporting
- Support internal and external stock audits by preparing reconciliations and verifying documentation.
- Prepare stock status reports and assist in presenting KPIs related to inventory performance.
Process Compliance & Safety
- Follow SOPs for material handling, storage, and issuing, ensuring process integrity and safety
- compliance.
- Assist in implementing HSE and housekeeping standards within store premises.
Risk & Quality Management
- Report risks related to material shortages, storage issues, or safety concerns to the Manager-Stores.
- Participate in initiatives for process improvement and cost optimization.
General & Miscellaneous
Provide courteous service to internal users and vendors during material
