Role Overview:
Consultant Radiation Oncologist (BOLD)
This is a post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a full time Consultant Radiation Oncologist. The post is required to support the site-specialist consultant led oncology services. The main purpose of this post is to develop and strengthen the existing Radiation Oncology services at the hospital. Site specialization is imperative in the development of these services. The scope of responsibilities includes clinical care, administrative responsibilities, teaching and research. The appointed individual will be expected to provide Radiation Oncology expertise in the ongoing clinical care and management of cancer patients. The appointed individual will work with and develop the established multidisciplinary site-specialist teams.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Acceptable postgraduate degree, e.g. FRCR (UK) with CCST in Radiation Oncology or the American Boards in Radiation Oncology.
- Evidence of relevant experience in Radiation Oncology
- Full registration with the PMDC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
- Good computer skills.
