Our team is growing, and we are looking for a System Administrator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all installed servers, applications and databases
- Manage escalated customer problems working closely with 1st level support
- Regular maintenance and upgrade of the server environment
- Monitoring of performance and optimization. Creation of alerts
- Management of streaming environments, server based and cloud based
- Management of Systems in all company’s work centers
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Troubleshoot system and network problems
- Documentation for support and customers
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Good knowledge of Debian based Linux Systems (e. g Ubuntu Servers): User; Management, file/directory, permissions, update/upgrade packages/distributions and server related software
- Windows Server knowledge (Active Directory, Azure, SQL server, SharePoint, Network File System, Office 365, etc.)
- Network knowledge (Firewall/ VPN/ TCP/IP, QoS, Sophos, Ubiquiti, etc.)
- MySQL (Master/slave replication, backups)
- Web Server (Nginx, haproxy, Apache)
- Understanding of Virtualized Environments (ProxMox, KVM/ Libvirt, Oracle Virtual Box) and Virtual Private Networks
- Flexibility to work outside core business hours as required (e.g. emergencies)
- English skills, written and spoken, at minimum B1 level
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems (primarily Debian/Ubuntu) in production environments, including system administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Nice to have: experience with data and messaging systems such as MySQL (replication and backups), MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ, including basic administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
