The position is responsible for overseeing logistics and transportation operations for stores. This role involves managing the movement of materials, goods, and equipment to ensure timely and efficient delivery across the organization.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
MBA preferably in Supply Chain with at least 2 year of relevant experience
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust logistics, strategically designed to optimize both transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate the movement of range of materials, goods, and equipment to meet operational requirements and timelines.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials to user departments and project sites, fostering a reliable and streamlined supply chain.
- Maintain collaborative relationship with suppliers, vendors, and transporters to arrange transportation services.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any transportation-related issues.
- Implement safety standards and best practices in transportation operations.
- Conduct regular audits to verify transportation compliance with regulatory requirements and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain records of transportation activities, including expenses and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Support the Chief Manager (CM) - Planning, Logistics, and Disposal in implementing logistics-related initiatives.
- Assist in budget planning and monitoring for transportation activities.
- Comply with the risk management framework.
- Participate actively in risk management activities across the organization.
- Ensure that key risks are identified, reported, recorded and managed in a timely manner.
- Receive appropriate training in risk management.
- Undertake any other assignment as instructed by the immediate supervisor.
