The purpose of this position is to assist in imports related activities and transactions. The incumbent is also responsible to assist in fund management and timely posting of payment vouchers in the ERP system.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
MBA with at least 2 years of experience related to Imports. OR M.Com with at least 5 years of experience related to Imports. Candidate must have experience of Oil and Gas Sector and PPRA rules and regulations.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Undertake cost allocation and updating of material imports against foreign purchase orders. Update ERP system with the details of the imported material.
- Assist in arranging Letter of Credit (L/Cs) through company’s designated banks against approved foreign purchase orders / contracts issued by Purchase Department and also arrange retirement of documents.
- Ensure L/Cs are opened strictly in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of foreign purchase orders / contracts.
- Post accurate accounting entries in ERP system including custom duty, income and sales tax.
- Prepare reconciliation report pertaining to income tax of imports on monthly basis.
- Submit Income and Sales Tax invoices to Tax section on a timely basis for adjustment / refund claims upon supervisor’s approval.
- Check the clearing agent bills and marine insurance vouchers and highlight any discrepancies to his/her supervisor.
- The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
- The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
- Undertake any other assignment as instructed by immediate supervisor.
